Annihilation: Ronan #1 – Ronan the Accuser now stands accused. Of course, this wouldn’t be any fun unless he were innocent and had to go out and clear his name. So methinks that’s what he’s going to do.

Astonishing X-Men #14 – This book probably doesn’t need any hype, but when Joss Whedon says this issue leads into the coolest thing that’s ever happened to Wolverine, you listen. Coming from just about anyone else, you shrug your shoulders and say, “Meh.” Hang on to your hats, true believers; I think this ride is about to experience some turbulence!

Blue Beetle #2 – That’s right – the scarab has chosen, and this new sap is in the suit. Let’s see how he handles it.

Checkmate #1 – This mysterious organization that’s been operating in the shadows of the Batman books all this time finally gets their own chance to show what they’re all about. All you DC fans are going to want to check this book out for sure. DC told me so.

Ion #1 – Kyle Rainer, former Green Lantern, has got his own book now that Hal Jordan has come back to take the Green Lantern title back over. Kyle will be out in the universe kicking cosmic tail; so if you’re not signed up for this one, you better get it quick; it’s going to sell like the proverbial cakes of hot.

Tron #1 – This new series from SLG is expected to be very, very cool indeed. Who’s expecting that? Me. That’s right. You should read it because I think it’s going to be cool, and all the cool kids will be reading it.

X-Factor #6 – I LOVE THIS BOOK. Peter David is having the time of his life writing this series; it’s hilarious; it’s poignant; it’s twisted; and it’s going someplace – just nobody seems to know where exactly. Layla Miller, she who knows stuff, is going to be showing a little of what she knows and, if we’re really lucky, a little bit of how she knows so much. Definitely check it out!

FREE COMIC BOOK DAY is coming up, folks. Saturday, MAY 6 – come on out to Haven for a great time. Show all the folks who will be coming by that day why Haven is such a great place to hang out.

See you at Haven!
