Anita Blake: Guilty Pleasures #2 – This Dabel Brothers title features Anita Blake, Laura K. Hamilton’s vampire hunter character, and it’s been flying off shelves all over the country. Orders have been so unexpectedly high that these issues are being allocated by Diamond in some cases; so if you’re interested in this book, make sure you pick it up early!

Astonishing X-Men #18 – The last issue of this current storyline, this one had better answer some questions! What the heck is going on in the mansion?! All kinds of crazy things are happening to the X-Men, and it looks like Cassandra Nova is about to be up to an unimaginable power level, and no one wants that. The question is, how is Kitty Pryde going to be able to stop it?

Civil War #5 – At long last, the next issue of this saga arrives! Civil War is moving inexorably toward critical mass, which means something big and terrible is going to happen. Rumors are flying that at least one MAJOR character isn’t going to make it…

Hellgate London #1 – This series looks gorgeous, and the story has piqued my interest: hordes of demons have broken through into our universe and the world is just not prepared to stop them from taking over everything and killing everyone. However, a small band of Knights Templar, with ancient knowledge, knows how to fight them and manages to hold them off long enough to give humanity a chance. This series is the prequel to the highly anticipated new video game; so grab it up and get an idea what’s going on before you play the game!

Moon Knight #6 – It’s been a little while since issue #5, but I’m looking forward to seeing where this issue goes. Clearly, Moon Knight is a little off his rocker, but he’s also about to lay down the law on a whole bunch of people who really deserve it – this issue wraps up the introductory story arc and launches into next month’s Civil War tie-in. Check it out!

Samurai: Heaven & Earth vol 2 #1 – We all thought this was just going to be one limited series, and the final pages of the first limited series shocked all of us. Our samurai hero chased his beloved from China to France – no mean feat in the 18th century! – to rescue her from her captors, and the last pages of the first series show her captor escaping again, with her in tow! That’s not right; it can't end like that! The preview page for the second series was one panel: a samurai sword, sticking up out of a sand dune, with a pyramid standing in the background. The team of Ron Marz and Luke Ross brought us a fantastic story with absolutely incredible art last time, and the same team is bringing us this book – I can’t wait to read it!

White Tiger #1 – From the pages of Daredevil, the new White Tiger gets her own shot at the big leagues! The original White Tiger was one of the first Hispanic heroes in comics, but he recently committed suicide after being condemned for a crime he didn’t commit, as Matt Murdock unsuccessfully defended him (in the pages of Daredevil). Daredevil passed on the costume and the totems of the White Tiger to the original’s daughter, a former FBI field agent. This looks very promising – pick it up and give it a chance…
