BPRD: Garden of Souls #2 (of 5) – In this BPRD mini-series, we find out more of the intriguing back story – of which we’ve had only the barest glimpses so far – of Abe Sapien, Hellboy’s #1 aquatic sidekick. As always, BPRD rocks! This is fantastic character development storytelling, and it’s awesome!

Civil War TP – Okay, you’re one of the handful of people who either had the patience to wait Civil War out so you could pick up the trade…or you somehow just missed the boat. In any case, this is your chance to pick up this earth-shattering limited series all in one fell swoop.

Death Dealer #1 – Frank Frazetta’s Death Dealer is one of those seminal images in fantasy art; his only possible rival being Conan. He’s a muscle-bound barbarian on a black horse, and he carries a wicked looking axe, dripping with gore. Now, at long last, 30 years after this character first appeared, we get to find out who in the heck he is and how he became the deliverer of vengeance he is. This limited series should be awesome. Pick your copy up fast!!

Fables #60 – What more can I say about Fables? It’s awesome. It’s always awesome. This series is consistently brilliant. The overarching meta-plot is intriguing, and the riot of sub-plots is everything from whimsical to romantic, suspenseful to action/adventure, horrifying to uplifting. You should be reading this book.

Loners #1 – From the pages of the Runaways comes a cool new spin-off series! The Loners have their own book now, and it’s going to be top-notch. If you’re a Runaways fan, you’re definitely going to want this book!

Marvel Illustrated: Jungle Book – Marvel is breaking back into the realm formerly inhabited by the venerable Classics Illustrated crew, and is bringing classic literature into comic book form. This month, it’s The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling. Next month it’s Last of the Mohicans. And these are top-notch adaptations, with fine writers adapting the text and gorgeous artwork. Check it out!

Nova #1 – After the fallout from Marvel’s under-the-radar sensation of the year, Annihilation, Nova is getting his own book. Early in the Annihilation story, the Nova Corps was destroyed, and Nova was the only survivor. Fueled by his anger over the deaths of his teammates, Nova played an integral part in the Annihilation story, finally stepping up and fulfilling his awesome potential. Where do things go from here? Richard Rider is asking himself that same question…
