Khrome may be too late as the terror below the clouds reaches up to the highest levels of the city, and in the aftermath of a massacre, evil once imagined becomes very, very real.

Four Eyes #1 – An odd sounding little book, but the art work is spectacular. Definitely worth checking out. Enrico witnesses his first dragon fighting match and learns the truth about the circumstances behind his father's death. The seeds of revenge take root in Enrico's heart, but will his plan end before it begins with the return of his older brother, Jack?

No Hero #1 – by Warren Ellis. Dead heroes in the dirt. A killer capable of almost supernatural tortures. Five generations of the world's only superhuman group. A forty-year legacy of standing for the rights of freedom and safety. A young man obsessed with the need for street justice. How much do you want to be a superhuman? How badly does he want it? Bad enough to bring on the last days of an American legend? If he even gets to survive that long? Forty years ago, a group of superhumans emerged in San Francisco, guided by the man whose unique new drugs gave them their incredible powers. But the team is not the only thing that's advanced over the years, and there are no easy victories when their luck finally begins to run out!

Terror Titans #1 (of 6) – They stood against the Teen Titans, and now the Terror Titans spin off into their own miniseries! Clock King hatches a plan for his team of teenage legacy villains, as well as their deadly new member - the Teen Titans' own Ravager! But if he's to succeed, Clock King must first stabilize the underground metahuman gladiator arena known as the Dark Side Club! Join TEEN TITANS scribe Sean McKeever and artist Joe Bennett (52, CHECKMATE) for a journey into the darkest, coldest and most brutal corners of the teen psyche!

Top Ten: Season Two #1 (of 4) – A new season dawns in the science-city of Neopolis! A new commissioner, along with some new rules, comes to Precinct 10, as Slipstream Phoenix, a rookie cop with an ugly secret, fights for respect among his new peers. Meanwhile, Shock-Headed Peter and the Dust Devil investigate a mysterious, ancient drug dealer, and a very public multiple homicide sets Captain Jetman and Lieutenant Peregrine scrambling for answers. The police procedural crime and intrigue continue in this new series based on concepts and characters created by legendary writer Alan Moore

Vixen: Return of the Lion #1 (of 5) – On a mission against the mega-mobsters of Intergang, the Justice League makes a stunning discovery revealing the truth behind the death of Vixen's mother. Long ago, poachers were fingered in her murder, but stunning proof arrives exposing the identity of her real killer! And the man responsible is still alive, making a vicious play for power in the homeland Vixen left years ago. This groundbreaking 5-issue miniseries by rising stars G. Willow Wilson (OUTSIDERS: AQUAMAN/METAMORPHO, CAIRO, AIR) and Cafu (Black Panther) plunges the League's animal-powered warrior into a deeply spiritual, but instantly deadly, quest for vengeance - and draws the League itself into the newest chapter of Intergang's ever-expanding race for domination.

Back to Brooklyn #1 (of 5) – by GARTH ENNIS & JIMMY PALMIOTTI -- Bob Saetta made the biggest mistake of his life by pissing off his brother, one of the biggest and most brutal crime bosses in New York City. This is the story of two brothers at war, wrapped in a special package of extreme language and hardcore violence. A five-issue adrenaline ride that rips the roof off Brooklyn's criminal underworld!

Flash Gordon #1 – America's beloved sci-fi hero is back in a brand new ongoing series, based on Alex Raymond's original ideas but with a modernized twist for the 21st century! CIA Agent Dale Arden draws a reluctant Flash Gordon back into the world of espionage to track down the allegedly insane Hans Zarkov - who's been accused of creating a weapon of mass destruction. Elsewhere in the universe, Ming the 'Merciful's' tyrannical shadow looms over Mongo, where an impending civil war is escalating!

Samurai Legend #1 (OF 4) – On the borders of Japan, a terrible plot is being prepared: General Akuma seems bent on betraying the Emperor despite a mysterious secret that binds them. Meanwhile, Takeo the Samurai continues his quest to obtain the treasure from the XIIIth prophet's vault and foil Akuma's destructive plans. But there are many obstacles in his way: Akanobu - the mountain of the seven sources, whose rare visitors are never seen again - and the terrifying Shadow Sisters. Fear sets in. And it would be easier if Natsumi wasn't by their side - Natsumi, on whose shoulders could lay the destiny of the kingdom.

Skaar, Son of Hulk Presents: Savage World #1 – As Skaar and Omaka make their way towards Prophet Rock, frightened refugees tell terrifying tales of unbounded power that could rock the very foundations of Planet Sakaar. Get ready for revelations galore in this one-shot about characters new and old, shocking developments regarding Skaar himself, and maybe even the biggest, angriest, and greenest guest star the planet's ever seen.

Solomon Kane #1 (OF 5) - Robert E. Howard's vengeance-obsessed puritan begins his supernatural adventures in the haunted Black Forest of Germany in this five-issue adaptation of Howard's "The Castle of the Devil."

When Solomon Kane stumbles upon the body of a boy hanged from a rickety gallows, he goes after the man responsible--a baron feared by the peasants from miles around. Something far worse than the devilish baron or the terrible, intelligent wolf that prowls the woods lies hidden in the ruined monastery beneath the baron's castle, where a devil-worshipping priest died in chains centuries ago.

Vincent Price Presents #1 – Vincent Price, one of classic Hollywood's most famous scary men, made a name for himself in classic mysteries and thrillers throughout the 1940's, 50's and 60's. Now Vincent Price Presents comes to Bluewater Productions as their first on-going, monthly series, featuring adaptations of some of Price's films as well as developing frightening new stories with his estate. Welcome back to the macabre world of Vincent Price!

Wolverine: Roar - All Logan wanted was a place to stop for a cool drink and listen to absolutely nothing for a while. Well, at least he got his second wish. Because in Roamer, New Mexico (population 342, and falling fast) there's a savage creature with revenge in its heart, and a roar that can blow out the eardrums of any living being within a mile...except for Logan, of course, whose regenerative abilities bring his hearing back after a minute. But 'a minute' is not soon enough - not when you have zero sense of balance and there's a bloodthirsty creature that you can't hear coming. A creature that won't stop until Roamer is wiped off the face of the earth. A creature who wants the last thing you hear to be the sound of your own screams...

They must learn the secrets to save our hero - so he can save the world! PLUS: When the Tinkerer and the Mad Thinker team up to create a device capable of stealing the Sentry's powers, they only have one obstacle on their path to world domination. The parasitic beam takes HOURS to work! What evil scheme will keep the Sentry in place long enough to destroy him? Don't miss the breathtaking tale of monsters and mayhem!

DC Universe: Decisions #1 (OF 4) – Election season is upon us, and the stakes have never been higher! An unknown villain is attempting to assassinate the presidential candidates, and only the heroes of the DCU stand in the way. As Green Lantern, Green Arrow, Superman, Batman and more try to learn the killer's identity, they are faced with the difficult task of reconciling their own personal ideals with the mission at hand. Brought to you by writers Judd Winick (GREEN ARROW/BLACK CANARY, TITANS) and Bill Willingham (FABLES, DAY OF VENGEANCE) and featuring sensational art by Rick Leonardi (ROBIN, SUPERGIRL)!

Giant Size Avengers: Mischief – Reprinting Marvel Adventures Avengers # 5-8, this is like a mini-trade! Perfect for that your kids – it’s a little larger than usual, so you can really good a good thwack from it when you ping it off their misbehavin’ skulls. J

Greatest Hits #1 (OF 6) – Meet the Mates! They're the greatest super team of all time, straight out of England and into our hearts: Crusader, The Solicitor, Vizier and Zipper. But who are the heroes behind the mania? How did they meet? And what's next for The Mates? You'll find out in this fab 6-issue miniseries written by David Tischman (BITE CLUB) with art by Glenn Fabry (NEVERWHERE, PREACHER and HELLBLAZER covers) that pulls back the curtain to reveal the men behind the masks. GREATEST HITS looks at The Mates, from their humble 1960s beginnings, through the drug-fueled 1970s, and into the techno '80s, the grungy '90s, and to the present day. This is The Mates from the height of their glory to the depths of excess, as filmed by a struggling Hollywood director - one with his own dark ties to the team.

Secret Invasion #6 Leinil Francis Yu Variant – This variant is a 1:25, and it’s already doing well on eBay. Any collectors who must have this variant need to let me know ASAP – this is first come, first served!

Marvel is doing what?!

Weird News on the Marvel Front:

Dark Reign - Masterminded by Secret Invasion architect Brian Michael Bendis, this new branding tag line will grace the covers of key Marvel books in the wake of the Skrull Invasion to herald a frightening new status quo for the Marvel Universe. On Marvel.com, Bendis promises something “completely different than anything you've ever seen at Marvel before,” with new alliances, new teams and a new world dynamic as creators take characters into new and unexpected directions, such as Dark Avengers, written by Bendis and illustrated by Mike Deodato.

Ultimate Avengers - Writer Mark Millar will undertake this new ongoing, team-focused series, which will have a format unlike anything Ultimate Universe readers have ever seen, making it what Millar calls in a Marvel.com release “the pulse at the heart of the Ultimate Universe.” Expect a setting in which Nick Fury assembles different teams for different missions, higher profiles for such background characters as Ultimate Blade and Ultimate Punisher, and a host of Ultimate incarnations of classic Marvel Universe villains, all rendered by a top secret roster of artists!

Marvel Noir - For anyone who was ever curious about how the Marvel Universe would look when viewed through the lens of authors like Raymond Chandler or Dashiell Hammett, Marvel will re-imagine some of its key heroes in the rough-&-tumble 1930s with three hard-boiled limited series. Written by David Hine with art by Carmine Di Giandomenico, Spider-Man Noir introduces readers to a young, angry Peter Parker going head-to-head with the local crime boss, Goblin, while making time with Felicia Hardy, the series femme fatale. In X Men Noir, writer Fred Van Lente and artist Dennis Calero pit the students from the Xavier School for Wayward Youth against New York City Chief of Detectives, Eric Magnus, and his police within the police, the Brotherhood. Daredevil Noir, written by Alexander Irvine and illustrated by Tomm Coker, pits Matt Murdock against the brutal hoods of the period, and features Marvel Noir versions of Foggy Nelson, Wilson Fisk, the Owl and Bullseye. Additionally, fans can expect a one of Marvel's most popular mutants to make his appearance in Wolverine Noir, set to debut later in 2009.

I'm not sure how I feel about any of these ideas, but they all sound like they're definitely worth checking out at least.

The definitive origin story of one of Marvel's greatest icons begins with a silver chain and a crush on a girl -- and quickly turns into a harrowing struggle for survival against the inexorable machinery of Hitler's Final Solution. From 'X-Men: Phoenix-Endsong' writer Greg Pak and award-winning artist Carmine Di Giandomenico.

See you at Haven!!
