I have a couple of announcements for you today.

First, for those of you who enjoy the Dungeons & Dragons products, I noticed a recent announcement ( on the Wizards of the Coast (WOTC) website which some of you may have missed. It concerns the D&D miniatures line, and the last paragraph of the announcement is what really caught my interest. Apparently, upon the Spring 2009 release of D&D Monsters and D&D Heroes, WOTC will no longer package the D&D Miniatures line in its current configuration (fully randomized booster packs and huge packs). This means that November's set -- D&D Miniatures: Demonweb -- will be the final release sold in fully randomized booster packs. As a DM and not a player of the miniatures rules, all I can say is: YAYYYYYYYYYY! (It has been bugging me since the miniature line came out that I couldn't just buy a pack of goblins, orcs, or kobolds for "adventure night.")

Second, I thought I'd give a quick reminder about CrisisCon this weekend ( When I initially learned of this local convention several months ago, I was rather excited about the gaming possibilities. However, over the months, I've noticed that the convention seems more focused on Anime than gaming (a little disappointing to me since I am more of a gamer than an Anime-fan). The gaming schedule is rather skimpy. That being said, in case you are planning on attending (either the entire weekend or only Saturday to play my amazingly fun and awesomely inspired games), I've included my game summaries below...
