More on Disney's Purchase of Marvel!

Here's the official Disney press release:
Here's hoping Marvel is left alone to run their own business more or less, like Touchstone and Pixar. This could be good. Could be terrible, but could be good.

DISNEY BUYS MARVEL for $4B!!!! (8-31-09)

This just in: Disney has purchased Marvel Comics for $4 Billion Dollars. Read the press release here: <>

Amazing. What this will do to Boom Studios' contract to print Disney and Pixar books, I don't know. How this will affect all the Marvel Superhero attractions at Disney's rival themepark, Universal Studios, is up in the air.

I just hope Marvel is allowed to function as they always have. I'd hate for anything to change in that regard.

Fingers crossed.

Learn about Mater, Fillmore, Luigi and Guido, and the rest of the gang as he learns how everyone got to Radiator Springs.

Fallout Toy Works #1 (OF 5) – A brilliant young robot maker risks his entire company for his factory's newly produced android named Tiffany, but when his new concept fails to work, fixing her becomes his greatest passion--and potentially his own destruction. This story brings the magic of innocence to life as both a toy maker and his invention set about learning the true secrets of life.

Magog #1 – Introducing the latest member of the Justice Society of America to break out into his own monthly series! Tired of chafing at the restraints that being a member of the JSA put upon him, Magog decides to take justice into his own hands and track down who's behind the dealing of high-tech arms to lowlife scum around the DC Universe! Be here as the hunt starts Magog on the path to discovering his own unavoidable destiny thanks to writer Keith Giffen (JUSTICE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL, DOOM PATROL) and artists Howard Porter and John Dell, the acclaimed team behind JLA!

Marvel Zombies Return #1 – They're back! What happened to Spider-Man, Colonel America, Power Man, Giant-Man and Wolverine at the end of MARVEL ZOMBIES 2? Where were they transported to... and more importantly, when? A frightening five-part weekly event shambles to life here, penned by resident (evil) MARVEL ZOMBIES 3 and 4 scribe Fred Van Lente and three of today's hottest novelists of zombie fiction!

Red Tornado #1 (OF 6) – Think you know everything there is to know about the mighty Red Tornado? Well think again! This miniseries shines a new light on the true origin of Red Tornado, the Justice League of America's resident android Super Hero! You'll not only discover a crew of characters new to the DC Universe, if Red Tornado has his way, you'll also uncover the hero's true android family! But will it cost him the love of his adopted human one?

Robert E. Howard’s Thulsa Doom #1 – The debut of Dynamite's Thulsa Doom! Written by Kull writer Arvid Nelson and illustrated by Lui (Red Sonja) Antonio, the opening story arc also features cover artist Alex Ross! Featuring the origins of the ultimate anti-hero, Thulsa Doom #1 opens after the destruction of Atlantis, when the world was in chaos and Thulsa sought his own path to ultimate power!

Strange Tales #1 (OF 3) – At long last, the wait is over!! Marvel is proud to present the debut of this hotly anticipated three issue anthology showcasing Marvel's greatest characters re-imagined by the best and brightest talents working in independent comics today. Don't miss what's sure to be one of the most exciting collections of comics short stories ever produced!!! Every issue stars a stunning array of the best, most exciting cartoonists on the planet-showcasing the Marvel Heroes as you've never seen them before! Featuring the long-awaited Peter Bagge 'Incorrigible Hulk' serialized over all three issues!

Sweet Tooth #1 – From out of the deep woods and the mind of acclaimed indie cartoonist Jeff Lemire (THE NOBODY, The Essex County Trilogy) comes a new Vertigo monthly ongoing series like no other! After being raised in total isolation, Gus - a boy born with deer-like antlers - is left to survive in an American landscape devastated a decade earlier by an inexplicable pandemic. Even more remarkable is that Gus is part of a rare new breed of human/animal hybrid children who have emerged in its wake, all apparently immune to the infection. Enter Jepperd, a violent, hulking drifter who soon takes in Gus and promises to lead him to 'The Preserve,' a fabled safe-haven for hybrid children. Along the way they'll have to contend with science militias, deadly scavengers, rival bounty hunters, and hybrid worshipping cultists as they fight to make it to safety and solve the mysteries of this deadly new frontier. This bizarre and haunting new series is boldly written and illustrated by Eisner-nominated creator Jeff Lemire and elegantly colored by fellow Eisner nominee Jose Villarubia. A little boy with antlers, a big man with guns, a world without hope - SWEET TOOTH #1 ships in September for only $1.00!

Torch #1 (OF 8) – The Soul of an Old Machine, part 1. The Torch is dead - buried with full military honors. But what does death mean for an artificial man? The Mad Thinker is determined to find out, with the reluctant help of the Torch's best and oldest friend - Tom (Toro) Raymond.

Even More Cool New Games

A new Game Trade Magazine has hit the stands so it is once again time for Kerry's game picks...

* CthulhuTech: GM Screen & Adventure will be released in November 2009. A bit price-heavy (as most RPG books now-a-days), I enjoy the CthulhuTech setting and as an old school, hide-behind-the-screen GM, I'm looking forward to owning a handy GM screen.

* Since we're on the topic of GM screens, a new screen (and adventure) for Deadlands:Reloaded will be available in November as well. Deadlands is a well-established setting but only a few supplements are available for the Reloaded (Savage Worlds) edition so it is nice to see a handy new screen as well as an introductory adventure.

* A newly revamped setting for Savage Worlds will also appear on store shelves in November: Weird War II. This setting was originally published under the d20 license and centers around horrific adventures during World War II. Come on, you know shooting werewolf nazis just sounds cool...

* I'm dying to get my hands on the Savage Worlds: Realms of Cthulhu setting in November. Pulp adventure with Lovecraftian horror; what more can you ask for?

* For you Munchkin fans, Steve Jackson Games will be releasing the +6 Bag of Munchkin Babes as well as the Munchkin Kill-O-Meter in November. The "babes" are 6 female Munchkin pawns which will appear in a 2010 Munchkin Quest supplement, but made available a little early for you true fans. The Kill-O-Meter assists in tracking the current level of a monster during combat.

Batman: Widening Gyre #1 (OF 6) – Once again, Kevin Smith - the fan-favorite creator behind GREEN ARROW and Daredevil - teams up with Walter Flanagan - the artist on the acclaimed series BATMAN: CACOPHONY - for an all-new adventure starring The Caped Crusader. The stakes are high as Batman encounters a new vigilante under his wing amidst what Smith describes as a 'backdrop of romance, intrigue, and geek-bait guest stars galore.' Trust us when we say that it's as awesome as it sounds. BATMAN: WIDENING GYRE is just the start of things for Kevin in the Bat-Universe so get on board now!

Blackest Night: Titans #1 (OF 3) – Black Lantern Titans are descending together onto Titans Island! Will the Titans be prepared to fight off their deceased allies? And how can Beast Boy not lose his heart to Black Lantern Terra? Explore the effect BLACKEST NIGHT has on the greater DC Universe in this three-issue miniseries from writer J.T. Krul (JSA CLASSIFIED, Fathom) and superstar artist Ed Benes (JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA)!

Darkness / Pitt #1 – Dale Keown's classic hero Pitt makes his return to comics! What else do you need to know? When Tim and Pitt's mission to track down those infected by an alien virus brings them to Jackie's stomping ground in New York, they are invariably drawn together. Both attract the unwanted attention of the Federal Government and mayhem ensues! The crossover reunites The Darkness writer Paul Jenkins (Captain America, Mythos) and Pitt creator Dale Keown (Hulk: The End).

Incarnate #1 (OF 3) – An action-packed tale from Nick Simmons, Star of A&E’s Gene Simmons’ Family Jewels! Vampires, Revenants, and all sorts of evil things need to be taken down, and it’s up to Mot and Connor to do it.

Incredibles #0 – The Incredibles #0 launches an all-new story arc written by legendary scribe Mark Waid with covers by Matt Wagner! Take a quick glimpse at the recent past and witness the action-packed birth of everyone's favorite super-powered baby-Jack-Jack! But labor pains were never this difficult! The Parrs will have to fight through a phalanx of evil before the new addition to their family can safely arrive! The action-packed prelude to next month's launch of The Incredibles ongoing series!

Red Circle: The Shield #1 – Lieutenant Joe Higgins was dying in the dirt of a battlefield in Afghanistan when they whisked him away to a top-secret facility and saved his life with nanotechnology so experimental they couldn't dare to use it on a living man. Now Higgins has been enlisted to a whole new mission - to be the public face of the American fighting man as the patriotic Shield! But today's grueling military battles test the limits of patriotism and the limits of the technology that keeps him alive. And the shocking secret behind that technology may be too much for his bullet-riddled heart to bear.

Spider #1 – The first ever on-going Spider Series – this ‘30s and ‘40s character is a lot like a cross between the Shadow and the Punisher. The Spider: the most violent and ruthless of all crime fighters…more just than the law, more dangerous than the underworld…hated, feared, and wanted by both. A cloaked, fanged, borderline-crazy denizen of the dark force-feeding hard justice with a pair of ‘45’s! Senseless slaughter accompanies a new string of bold and audacious heists, and only the Spider can stop it…but at a price so steep, can even the Spider hope to pay it? A full length Spider comic novella thriller, PLUS a new Ghost Zero featurette!

Spin Angels #1 (Of 3) – A head-on collision between John Woo and John Paul II! On the fringes of the Vatican's religious administration, a powerful Cardinal is overseeing the execution of the Church's most discreet objectives with a force of black-ops specialists and spies. When a mafia godfather puts his best hit man in service of the Vatican to settle an honor debt, he will act as the guardian angel of a beautiful young investigator, but can he keep her out of the crossfire? Ancient secrets threaten to uproot the seat of religious power, and there are people ready to kill to protect it. Can good men fight fire with fire without losing their souls?

Cool New Games

This is yet another installment (ok, ok - it is just number 2) of new game releases scheduled to hit the shelves this fall. Here are a few that have caught my interest...

* Space Hulk will be released on September 5th as a limited print run. Although set in the Warhammer 40000 universe, you shouldn't feel like you need to buy a whole army. This self-contained game contains all two players need to play. It is a reprint of one of the best board games I've ever played. One player controls a squad or two of space marines who are exploring an ancient space ship hulk while the other player controls the alien inhabitants. A normal mission requires 1 - 1.5 hours to play and has the atmosphere of the Aliens movie. GREAT FUN! I suspect this printing will sell-out fast so I'd order one super-quick if I were you... in fact, I already ordered mine.

* Savage Worlds: Thrilling Tales has an October release date and captures the pulse-pounding excitement of the pulp magazines and cliffhanger serials of the 1930s and 40s. It is a sourcebook for a great system (Savage Worlds) and I fully expect it to rock the lama's ass.

* Not exactly a game, but based on the cool Midnight role-playing game setting, the Midnight Chronicles DVD hits shelves in September. Originally intended as a pilot episode for a TV series, I've seen trailers of this movie online and it looks pretty cool in my humble opinion.

* I'm a big fan of the PARANOIA role-playing game and a whole slew of products supporting the new 25th anniversary edition are scheduled to release in September. PARANOIA: Internal Security provides information on running Internal Security missions (well, duh). Ah, to serve, to protect, to vaporize. Gotta love it. I haven't found much information on PARANOIA: Termination Quota Exceeded and PARANOIA: Treason in Word and Deed, but I'm sure they'll just make it that much easier to kill player clones while making a pun, or simply laughing evilly.

Has Archie finally decided to take the plunge and propose to comics' favorite rich girl? Make way for this special story that takes a look at Archie and his friends after they graduate college. Will the friends stay in Riverdale or disperse? What would lead Archie to have marriage on his mind? And why would he choose Veronica over Betty? How will Betty react? Two things are certain: with the Lodges as hosts, this will be the biggest wedding Riverdale has ever seen - and the biggest Archie Comics story since the famous 'Love Showdown!'

Batgirl #1 - In the wake of 'Batman R.I.P.' and BATTLE FOR THE COWL, a new heroine has emerged in Gotham City, and as she begins her nocturnal crusade to take back the night, she will truly learn what it means to wear the mantle of the Bat. But who is this young woman, and why has she donned the cape and cowl?

Blackest Night: Superman #1 (OF 3) – Black Lantern Superman has unearthed Pa Kent's grave! But that's only the beginning of the horrifying things he's about to unleash on an unsuspecting Smallville. When acts of sabotage begin to damage Monsters, Inc equipment, all the evidence points to Mike! Can Mike convince Sulley to help him find the true culprit?

Not everyone was up for it when D&D made the switch to 4th Edition, and this book proves it. Carrying on the 3.5 tradition that had a lot of fans, this book is generating a lot of buzz. Seriously, when was the last time you heard of an RPG book selling out???

Red Circle: The Web #1 – Billionaire John Raymond has it all - fame, fortune, and a brilliant mind! He also has a brother with the one trait John lacks: compassion. No matter how relentlessly awe-inspiring John's achievements get, it's his brother who's always seen as the hero. So John sets out to upstage his brother one more time. He'll show the world just how much heroism money can buy as the amazing (and suspiciously well-equipped) Web. But when a dark fate arrives for his brother, John learns first-hand what a hero leaves on the line, and that there are worse losses than the ones that hit your checkbook!

Swordsmith Assassin #1 - Toshiro Ono has spent his life making the best swords that have ever been forged and selling them to the highest bidder. But when his family is killed by a blade of his own making, Toshiro will do whatever it takes to make sure none of his swords ever kill again, even if it means seducing the innocent!

Adventure Comics #1 – It's the return of one of DC Comics' longest running books and one of its greatest modern-day heroes - Conner Kent! In our first heroic issue, Superboy can't wait to jump back into his life - but which life will it be? With a clarity he's never had before, Conner makes a beeline for the greatest place on Earth...Smallville? Plus, in the wake of FINAL CRISIS: LEGION OF THREE WORLDS, Starman heads off on an all-new mission in the present. And it's one that will not only impact Superboy, but the future of the DC Universe itself. Fortunately, the off-kilter Legionnaire won't be dong it alone! And in the upcoming months of ADVENTURE COMICS look for Lex Luthor! Brainiac! Lightning Lad! Superboy's pal Simple Simon! Sun Boy and Polar Boy! Ultra, the Multi Alien! Wonder Girl! Black Lantern Alexander Luthor! And many, many more new and familiar faces!

Blackest Night #2 (OF 8)BLACKEST NIGHT continues! The dead rise across the DC Universe, bringing terror and darkness with them. What are the Black Lanterns? What do they want? Will Earth's greatest heroes survive long enough to find out - or will they join the Black Lantern Corps?

Blackest Night: Batman #1 (OF 3) – Deadman can't shut out the cries of the dead rising as he comes to the aid of the new Batman. It's just in time, too, as the duo face a circus of zombies including the Black Lantern Flying Graysons!

Dominic Fortune #1 (OF 4) – The depression's going strong, so when Dominic Fortune is hired to bodyguard Jock Madison, Vaughn Lorillard and P.T. Oakley, three drunk and disorderly Hollywood stars, he jumps at the chance to pick up what looks like a few easy bucks, and maybe have a few laughs in the bargain. But when the trio of old school hambones prove to be a bigger pain than he anticipated -- and he accidentally stumbles across a conspiracy headed by mysterious American businessman Malcolm Upshaw and Delatriz Betancourt, the recklessly sexy granddaughter of Confederates who fled Reconstruction for South America -- Fortune finds himself in hot water...with the fate of the USA at stake.

Fahrenheit 451 GN – Fifty-five years ago, Ray Bradbury envisioned one of the world's most unforgettable dystopian futures. Thinking is dangerous; trust only the state; turn in your neighbors; and, most important, burn all books. The world of Guy Montag, a career fireman for whom kerosene has become perfume, has been translated by Tim Hamilton into unforgettable full-color art that uniquely captures Montag's awakening to the evil of government-controlled thought and the inestimable value of philosophy, theology, and literature.

G-Man: Cape Crisis #1 (OF 5) – Wizard Glendolf Williams has bad news for G-Man. The magic in G-Man's cape has become dangerously unstable! And it's going to take more than the sorcery of Glendolf to set things right!

GI Joe: Special Helix – INTRODUCING A BRAND-NEW JOE! G.I. Joe is the best of the best. But that's not good enough for Hawk. Enter Special Agent HELIX: a deadly young woman who may well define the future of G.I. Joe's combat operations-if Duke can keep her alive long enough.

Marquis vol 1 TP: Inferno – In eighteenth-century Venisalle, faith governs life and death, and the guilty hide their shame behind masks, showing their faces only in the secret rites of the confessional. It is to this stronghold of the Inquisition that the souls of Hell have escaped to possess the living, spreading sin, murder, and chaos. Amid the carnage, one man is blessed with the clarity to recognize the demons that prey on his countrymen -- and the means to return them to the fires of Hell. But as the stakes rise, the lines separating good and evil begin to blur, and the Marquis -- the dark avenger whom even demons fear to cross -- finds himself torn between the blind faith that has defined his life and the bitter truths exposed under his new sight. * Featuring an introduction by Hellboy creator Mike Mignola and a 56-page sketchbook. Also includes a full-color cover gallery featuring work by Matt Wagner, Mike Mignola, Charles Vess, Teddy Kristiansen, Kelley Jones, and Michael Gaydos!

Red Circle: Inferno #1 – The mysterious stranger was brought into the hospital with one name on his lips: 'Frank Verrano.' He has no memory of who he was, where he came from, or how he could possibly be the only survivor of a bombing attack on a cruise liner that killed hundreds of people. But as deep as that mystery runs, a violent attack on the hospital opens a deeper one. How can this man burst into flames...and survive? And why does the man who stands in those flames, the man know as the Inferno, look nothing like the one who stood in his place just seconds before?

Red Herring #1 (OF 6) – Herring will stop at nothing to halt a global conspiracy of invading aliens and big businessmen. And he's convinced the MacGuffin's near-death experience and dirty little secret affair with a U.S. congressman is the key to his revenge. There are no coincidences. Nothing happens by accident. From creators David Tischman (BITE CLUB, GREATEST HITS) and Philip Bond (KILL YOUR BOYFRIEND, VIMANARAMA), RED HERRING is a dangerous 6-issue miniseries that puts the 'con' back in conspiracy.

Starstruck #1 – First serialized in Heavy Metal Magazine, then a Marvel graphic novel and comic series...and now finally back in print after nearly 20 years, Michael Kaluta's amazing Starstruck-completely remastered and with incredible new color by Lee Moyer-is back and looking better than ever! Each issue also contains an episode of Galactic Girl Guides, by the same creative team.

Ultimate Comics: Avengers #1 – Guess who's back!! That's right, kids, MARK MILLAR (THE ULTIMATES, WOLVERINE: OLD MAN LOGAN) and superstar artist CARLOS PACHECO (AVENGERS FOREVER, X-MEN) blast into the Ultimate Universe for a mind-blowing, heart-pounding and gut-wrenching event of epic proportions! When a highly-classified secret threatens Captain America, only the newly-returned Nick Fury has the tools to bring 'em in! As the first of a series of blockbuster arcs begins: PROJECT AVENGERS is a go!

Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man #1 – Almost ten years ago, Ultimate Spider-Man launched the Ultimate line, a reinvention of the Marvel Universe that defied the odds and every expectation. Today, it happens again: This new chapter in the life of the teenaged webslinger picks up in the aftermath of Ultimatum and completely redefines the status quo of Spider-Man for the next generation! With a new supporting cast, new villians and maybe even a new Spider-Man, this new chapter will keep you guessing month after month. Join Eisner Award-winning writer BRIAN MICHAEL BENDIS in introducing new ongoing artist DAVID LAFUENTE (ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN ANNUAL, PATSY WALKER: HELLCAT)! Absolution #1 (OF 6) – You've seen Christos Gage's work for Marvel, WildStorm, IDW and others, but you've never seen his imagination unleashed with absolutely no restrictions...until now. ABSOLUTION introduces John Dusk, a superhero in a world where they're a sanctioned arm of law enforcement. But this veteran hero has been scarred by his exposure to man's infinite capacity for evil, and he's seen one too many perpetrators escape justice. One day he crosses the line...lets a murderer die...and discovers it feels good. Surrounded by sociopaths, both human and superhuman, who he knows will prey on others if they're not stopped--permanently--how far will he go, knowing every step he takes puts him further on a collision course with his teammates Alpha and The Servant, not to mention his homicide detective girlfriend? Drawing on his experience writing for TV crime dramas like Law & Order: SVU, and his years of acclaimed work on comics like G.I. Joe: Cobra, StormWatch: PHD, and Avengers: The Initiative, Gage and artist Roberto Viacava bring you a riveting, no-punches-pulled saga that fans of shows like The Shield and Dexter, or comics such as Powers and Sleeper, won't be able to put down. He wants to be forgiven...but he doesn't want to stop.

Captain America: Reborn #2 (OF 5) – Part 2 of this amazing five-parter hits the shelves this week and should begin to answer some questions about how exactly the original Cap – Steve Rogers – is both dead and not dead, here and not here, all at the same time. Hang on to your hats; this is gonna be a wild ride!

Doom Patrol #1 – Come one, come all! The world's strangest Super Heroes are back, and they brought those robot guys along with 'em! Read all the way to the back cover for the all-new adventures of those elemental everymen, the Metal Men, featuring the triumphant return of the creative team that brought you JUSTICE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL! That's 40 full pages of comic-bookery for just under four American dollars. So why not try some Doom Patrol with a side order of Metal Men today?

Ghost Rider: Heavens On Fire #1 (OF 6) – The acclaimed GHOST RIDER run of writer Jason Aaron reaches its fever-pitched conclusion with six more issues of insanity, all jam-packed with new villains, old allies and the same old grindhouse action that Flamehead fans have come to know and love. The renegade angel Zadkiel is out to thwart Biblical prophecy by assassinating a young boy bred by Satanists to rule the world, so if Ghost Riders Johnny Blaze and Danny Ketch are going to save the world, they'll first have to save the Anti-Christ.

House of M: Masters of Evil #1 (OF 4) – Hot on the heels of the last two acclaimed minis, House of M returns! You’ve seen how the mutants and the heroes were changed in the world ruled by Magneto...but what about the villains? Their story stands revealed at last as The Hood assembles a gang of the deadliest Sapien super-criminals: Madame Masque, The Absorbing Man, Titania, The Wrecking Crew, Nitro, Constrictor, The Sandman, Crossbones and more! At first, their goal is simple: get rich and get away with it. But their very first job may lead somewhere none of them expected...and incur the wrath of the House of M itself!

Iron Man: Armor Wars #1 (OF 4) – Cash, cars, boats, houses...Tony Stark has got it all. The only thing that could ruin his day? If every single one of his IRON MAN armors were stolen, and then turned against him. Join us for a nail-biting, strapped-to-your-seat adventure as Tony battles his greatest creations, and tries to discover who could (gasp) OUTSMART him!?!?

Luke Cage Noir #1 (OF 4) – 'MOON OVER HARLEM,' PART 1- A lot can change in ten years. And rarely for the better. Local legend, Luke Cage, invincible, unstoppable, unflappable, finds that out the hard way when he returns to the mean streets of Prohibition-era Harlem after a ten-year stretch in Riker's Island. All he wants is to be back in the loving arms of his woman, but certain powerful men have different plans for Cage. Willis Stryker, Cage's childhood friend turned Godfather of Harlem, wants him on his crew, and under his thumb. And wealthy white socialite Randall Banticoff, whose wife is now very dead, murdered in a Harlem alley, wants Cage to investigate her death. Cage is about to learn that coming home is never easy, and to survive he might just have to kill a whole lot of people.

Marvels Project #1 (OF 8) – The centerpiece of Marvel's 70th Anniversary celebration! Who is the mysterious old man who lies on his deathbed in a hospital in 1939, and how does his passing mark the beginning of the first heroic age of the Marvel Universe - and signal the rise of the superhumans? Ed Brubaker and Steve Epting unveil the defining story of the origin of the Marvel Universe, revealing the hidden connections that unite the earliest costumed champions, and whose reverberations are felt dramatically into the present day! It's a world on the brink of war, and the race is on to create the world's first super-soldier! Witness the first days of the Human Torch, the Sub-Mariner, and many more-- how they shaped the world to come, and how the future they would create in turn shaped them! The must-read event of the season for any Marvel fan from the Award-Winning creators who redefined Captain America for the modern audience!

Red Circle: The Hangman #1 – The Civil War claimed many lives, but one of those lives still hasn't ended! Union doctor Robert Dickering found himself on the wrong side of the battle lines, and despite his heroic treatment of a fallen enemy soldier, he also found himself on the wrong end of a noose! But a shadowy power stepped forth in the twilit moments between life and death and offered him a deal he couldn't refuse: to forever roam the Earth, saving the lives of innocents condemned like himself - or hastening the deaths of the guilty! But in taking the seemingly righteous mission of the Hangman, has he accepted God's work? Or has he become the vengeful fist of the Devil himself?

Tyrese Gibson’s Mayhem #1 (OF 3) – A modern day vigilante in the vein of Batman and the Punisher, a masked hero that is trying to wrest Los Angeles free from the grips of drug addiction, violence and other brutal crimes. With the help of his sidekick Malice – a "sexy, bad-ass" cross between Megan Fox and Lara Croft, as Le described her – Mayhem goes up against the nefarious Big X, a ruthless crime lord with "a dark secret" linking himself to Mayhem.
